11 months and the First Day of Preschool

Lily’s first day of school went well. She ate goldfish for the first time. Took a nap for about 45 minutes and even enjoyed playing with the other babies. She is the oldest in her group at preschool and seemed to have fun. When I picked her up she started waving and didn’t stop until we got to the car. I think she was ready to come home. She took a huge nap and talked all afternoon to her sister, even enjoyed sitting at Grace’s ballet class. When we got home she ate a huge dinner, took a bath and fell asleep for the evening.

Today was day two and did not go as well. She started crying when I dropped her off and it seems that she did not stop except to take a nap and eat her lunch. Hopefully it has to do with the teething (if she is FINALLY getting some teeth.) Otherwise it is going to be a long school year.

As for her eleven month update: Lily crawls up a storm, she pulls up on everything. She also tries to walk by pushing the small chairs around on the wood floors. Lily prefers to self feed, she loves – eggs, bread, crackers, puffs, cheerios, yogurt drops, pasta of any kind, grapes, bananas, cooked carrots, peas, and anything else we can give her that is soft enough to gum(yes still no teeth). She is approximately 22 pounds of fun. She gets so excited every afternoon to get her sister off the bus, she jumps up and down while sitting in her little red car with her arms open wide, and tries to say Gracie. When she does it, her voice is low and she says it over and over and over. She wants to be wherever Grace is and loves to play with Grace’s things. She also enjoys pulling all the books off of the bookshelf, opening drawers and pulling everything out of them and crawling as fast as she can away from her chasing parents. She is very ticklish and loves to dance to the music. We are working on the sign language and the talking. I see walking and a lot of teething in our near future. Should be fun!

I will update with pictures soon, got to find the camera cable.
