Last Day!

Today was my last day in the public school sector for a while. It was bittersweet to leave after nine years. However, I am very excited at the changes and we are looking toward the future. As some of you know we are expecting our second daughter in October, near the twenty-fourth. Grace is excited to be getting a sister. She is very apprehensive too. We hope to take her to hear the heartbeat at the next visit to the doctor. Tom is of course nervous also, just in his nature. It did make moving out of the Elementary school difficult for me, I am very much a do it yourselfer, but I did have to ask for others to get the big stuff. Tom got to do all the unloading here at the house. He was beyond thrilled, especially since we spent the weekend taking out a few bushes and tree limbs. The southern branch of Bill and Bill destruction was unavailable for this treatment. We all worked hard - Tom, Sarah, Gramma Suzanne and Papa, Grace supervised from her various perches in the yard. Grandma Terry and Popop were sorely missed.

Grace and I are looking forward to a summer filled with swimming, once I get a suit for the pool, dancing(work for me) and travel. We are headed to Disney in 14 days, the beach sometime and to Cortez, FL in August. Tom will of course be headed to Jekkyl Island for the Prosecuting Attorney's Council annual conference. We also hope to get in a lot of playtime with our neighbors, school friends and tried and true friends.

Next fall will mean working in Grace's preschool for me two days and week and teaching dance at the children's studio in between. Then of course some time off to recover after the little one comes. It should be an interesting end to 2008.
